In response to market feedback ISC has further developed its RP037 small fixed cheek pulley to offer a rated bridge for direct connection. The photographs below show that the bridge is rated at 12kN and is marked accordingly. Extensive testing with relevant rope and even with webbing and wire rope has proven an MBS of 12kN.

Similar pulleys are used extensively throughout the industry but much of the feedback provided to us via our retailer network or via web forum such as ArbTalk made it clear that the bridge needed to be rated to ensure full compliance for those climbers that wanted to use it as a tie-back connection point for a prussic knot. The photos below show the configuration using a Blakes Hitch. Also shown is the KH214SS Mini-HMS karabiner which, being possibly the shortest fully compliant climbing karabiner at less than 100mm, is ideal for use as it reduces the distance between climbing hitch and harness to an absolute minimum.
