ISC has developed a new super-strength aluminium quick release adjuster buckle suitable for industrial safety harnesses called the Klick-Lock.

This type of buckle has become very popular in mid- and high-range industrial harnesses across the world. Most are made from steel, so they're strong but heavy.

Some are made from aluminium but they are not as strong. ANSI/CSA standards in particular require this type of buckle to be able to withstand 4000lbs/18kN and where others will do that as part of a webbing loop, the Klick-Lock will out-perform them IN A STRAIGHT PULL up to 20kN/4400lbs. After being pull-tested with a nominal 12kN/2650lbs and left for one minute the Klick-Lock still operates effectively, proving the strength of design is second to none.

The body is made from hi-spec aluminium so it is very light weighing only 100g/3.5oz. The web slot is designed to accept 45mm/1¾” webbing. It has a riveted construction so it is tamper-proof. The buckle is supplied as a complete assembly with tang and 3-bar slide, which can be made from carbon steel or stainless steel.

The forging process used means that it is suitable for volume production and it also means that the finished product remains very competitive. Tooling is unique to ISC and wholly owned by us so you can rely on a quality product – don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Since the body is made from aluminium, it is possible to supply it in a huge range of colours to suit your company brand or your harness webbing. The buckle will be supplied in red as standard or black for military use.

The tang set would normally be supplied plated or polished as standard, however although we don't recommend powder coating the tangs (the paint chips off quite quickly), we can recommend black electrophoretic paint which gives a very tough, durable but thin coating – this is available as an optional extra. Tang sets are stamped with a batch reference for traceability. The Klick-Lock body will be marked by laser etching which offers the possibility of unique branding.
