The MERLIN is a true fall-limiter. Its specially designed pawl engagement system limits free falls literally to inches, dramatically improving the chances of self-rescue and reducing the risks associated with post-fall suspension tolerance. The webbing has been carefully chosen to reduce impact forces in a fall-arrest so significantly that an external shockabsorber pack is not required.

The device is entirely modular which makes it easy to service/ repair if required, however its competitive price may allow it to be used as a consumable. The body is manufactured from an aluminium extrusion giving it an excellent strength to weight Ratio.

The MERLIN is lightweight at just 2.2lb/1.0kg excluding connectors. It is compatible with a range of karabiners, but we recommend that a light aluminium swivel hook be fitted at the web-end. The MERLIN is available in a range of colours to suit corporate branding and can be supplied with or without labels for private Labeling purposes.

Continuing the Wizard theme throughout our range, it was intriguing to see that the origin of the name MERLIN pre-dates the legend of the Athurian Wizard and can be th traced back to the 12 century Welsh legend of MYRDDIN. This describes MYRDDIN as being a hairy madman living a wretched existence in a forest – too coincidental an opportunity to miss, we thought!
