unlike other similar karabiners it has the same form and function of a standard product, but by utilizing special materials and heat treatment we can achieve a side- or 'cross-load' and a face-on or 'nose-load' of 22kN/5000lbf. This makes it suitable across international markets as a connector for use in a tie-back lanyard without any increase in size or weight.

KH415TL

Available to order now this is a new mega strong ladder hook offering almost twice the strength of a standard product at 70kN/ 15000lbf MBS. It features a gate opening of 35mm and has a 'root radius' of 15mm which makes it ideal for use with larger diameter ropes by arborists and rope rescue teams.

KH219SG/TL/SS

Available to order now this is a large D-shaped karabiner and is sister product to the KH109. It also offers a 70kN/15000lbf MBS. It features an unusually large gate opening at 24mm which is ideal for use with larger diameter ropes.

SH999

Available now , this offers an improvement to an old favorite, the forged aluminum scaffold snaphook with 55mm/2 1/4inch gate. This unit features improved gate latch safety and a unique nose-catch which significantly increases the cross-load strength to 14kn. A dramatic improvement in quality without the dramatic increase in cost!

KH311 SG and TL

Coming to the range later in the year, ISC has taken the standard steel oval, is well recognised across the industry and increased its strength from the standard 22kN to 30kN. At the same time we have chosen to use gold passivation because it features a 50% better corrosion resistance compared to silver. All this for a seriously competitive price and ex-stock delivery!

Karabiner Gates.

The design of a karabiner gate is possibly the most important part of the overall strength of the product. The main load bearing point of a karabiner is its nose (where there is normally a notch or hook).

This is often the weakest point. ISC is continuously developing its karabiners in an effort to increase the strength without increasing size or weight. Our new Bridge Gate does away with the weak rivet, relying instead upon a machined slot in the gate which significantly improves performance.
