ISC manufactures a broad range of high strength
pulleys for use in a variety of industries.
|
|
A comprehensive range of single & double pulleys
to cover every aspect of one & two man applications
in rescue, access and arborist industries. ISC’s new
Micro pulley’s are only used when a compliance productis
required, for example as part of a prussic knot loop,
for rope climbing but have ex-stock availability and
are competitively priced.
The small & medium Eiger range offers a superb
strength to weight ratio as 7000 grade aerospace aluminium
is used throughout and can be used with a variety
of rope diameters. Small Eiger pulleys are typically
rated for one-man use where as medium Eigers are designed
to accommodate two-man use or heavier materials loads.
The Rp031 Double redirect is a relatively recent addition
to the arborist range specifically designed without
the centre plate to allow smooth running for double
ropes. The medium Eiger range is compliant with NFPA
requirements.

|
A
range of heavy duty Aluminium pulleys for use in rescue,
where weight & strength is vital. The prussik range
is specifically designed for mountain rescue/industrial
climbing wherever rope rescue systems are being utilised
and is available in all aluminium, or all stainless
steel.
|
|
The
Rp700 family of rescue pulleys is the professionals
choice. Light weight and super strong these have the
durability for any rescue kit and can be rigged in
3:1 ratio to 5:1 ratio. The Rp700 incorporates one-way
needle bearings which allow a high level of descent
control when used in a hauling kit and are easily
comparable with rollgliss or shorhoist. The Rp702
and 703 are single and double wheeled pulleys that
incorporate a stainless steel locking cam which would
automatically stop the rope in the event of loss of
control. The Rp700 family has swinging cheeks specifically
designed to accept even the largest karabiners.

|
ISC
is further developing its range of single and tandem
stainless pulleys for use on wire ropes to offer various
sizes with fixed or moving bollards. These are most
often used in rope slides, zip wires, arial rigging
and rope courses and in some offshore drilling operations where the environment is severe.

|
Aluminium
cast pulleys are used primarily in the arborist industry
with heavy duty ropes as part of a rigging/lowering
kit. A range of 3 pulleys can be used with a variety
of rope diameters from 13mm -20mm offering working
load limits of 2000kg - 4000kg incorporating a safety
factor of at least 5:1. The cast pulley family is
currently being redesigned to look more modern and
to reduce their overall weight. A super strong (2000kg
WLL) stainless steel screwblock pulley is also available.

As in all the equipment that is used to protect
lives at work, strength and durability are key issues.
That’s why we prefer to use oil impregnated sintered
bronze (oilite) bushes across the range rather than
bearings. The difference in use when new is marginal,
but after the wear and tear associated with regular
use the oilite bush remains robust and effective even
under high loads. Pulleys with bearings are only effective
as long as the seal remains in good working order.
As soon as there is an ingress of dirt, debris or
even water they can quickly deteriorate leaving the
pulley practically unusable. Ongoing care and maintenance
is key to the operational safety of any product.
All ISC pulleys are batch tested and 100% inspected.
Full traceability is required as part of our ISO9001
Quality system. In line with our new branding policy
standard ISC pulleys will in future be red (colour
options are available).
