Possibly the smallest lightest evacuation descender pack in the world.
 |
 |
ISC manufacture the descender from 6082 aluminium so it is strong but light. A 15m escape kit complete with rope, anchor sling & karabiners weighs only 525g and measures 170 x 110 x 75mm so it is ideal to be carried at all times - even clipped to a harness.
The 5.5mm dyneema rope has a break strength in excess of 1000kg when fitted to a device. A 7mm version suitable for the U.S. NFPA standards will be available early 2007. |

The device which is fully En341- D compliant works very simply. The user would clip the top karabiner either directly to a suitable point, or use the anchor sling provided. Then clip the device to his harness before dropping the bag to the ground.By gently pulling down on the handle, the rope slides through the cams allowing a controlled descent, which can be stopped at any time by letting go of the handle. |

The kit is contained in a weatherproof pack which is sealed. The seal acts as a visual indicator to check if it has been used or tampered with. |
