ISC has further developed its range of fall arrest rope grabs by improving function.
A low cost compliance device has also been added.

ISC manufactures a pair of high quality, low weight rope grabs which are machined from 6082 aluminium & hard anodised. The small device is suitable for use on 11 - 13mm diameter semi static ropes, whilst the largest device is suitable for 13-16mm diameter semi static ropes. Tests reveal some differences in performance due to different rope specs & environmental conditions. tearing of the rope sheath can occur with some kernmantle ropes. |
Each device has a choice of axle types.

RP203 > Small.
RP204 > Large.
Fixed/Bolted version can only be fitted by
threading the rope into the device from the
end. |

RP201 > Small
RP206 > Large.
R-clip version can be fitted to the rope at
any point by way of an R-Clip which is pushed
into the axle nose. |

RP209 > Small.
RP205 > Large.
Pip pin version can be fitted to the rope at
any point. The axle is fitted or detached by
pushing on the thumb button to release the
locking Bearings. |
Each rope grab is extremely strong with an MBS in excess of 30 KN and very light. Small devices weigh 180g Large devices weigh 335g. They are approved to EN353-2 (arresters for use on flexible lifeline) - A lanyard of 300mm long is the recommended maximum. In addition they are approved to En567 (rope clamps) & can be used for tensioning horizontal or vertical lines.
